Mission Statement: Sisters of 76 sees a need for a strong, supportive committee within our local that can address the changing culture of the trades and our communities. It is the mission and responsibility of our committee to:

• Create a platform where tradeswomen can speak out and use their voices effectively to advocate for workers’ needs and influence the evolving trades culture
• Foster an inclusive and supportive community, where everyone in the electrical trade feels a deep sense of belonging and camaraderie
• Battle feelings of isolation by advocating for authenticity, representation and true reflection of ourselves in the workplace
• Volunteer our time and resources in our communities
• Use our skills and our voices to strengthen our local and the construction trades by helping recruit new members, advocating for workplace safety and helping to find solutions to create jobsites free of sexual harassment, bullying and discrimination
