Dear Sisters and Brothers,
IBEW Local 76 has been following the everchanging developments of the Coronavirus. We are encouraging the use of the Washington State Department of Health’s hygiene and self-distancing guidelines both at home and on the jobsite. Contractors are being contacted regarding providing adequate hand washing facilities as much as feasibly possible in effort to help prevent any undo exposer to the virus.
In the event there are job shutdowns or mass layoffs, please contact the Local Union Office as soon as you receive notification. This includes being put on standby by the contractor. Being informed of changes from the many contractors and the numerous worksites, will allow us to assist you with your Out of Work list status for unemployment purposes.

In light of developing information on the Coronavirus and hygiene guidelines and self-distancing measures directed by Governor Jay Inslee, IBEW Local 76 is evaluating all of the Local Union Meetings on a case by case basis. As of today, March 12, 2020, the following March meetings are canceled:

As information on the Coronavirus that impacts IBEW members or IBEW Local 76’s Union Office is released, we will update our website, www.ibew76.org, first followed by emails from info@ibew76.org. Again, the health and safety of IBEW members and their families is a priority and we encourage everyone to follow the Washington State Department of Health personal hygiene guidelines. Please to take precautions by staying home from work if you have a cough, fever or feel ill, to wash your hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds frequently, coughing into a tissue or your elbow, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
