  • COVID-19 IBEW Local 76 Union Office Update
    Updated On: Mar 26, 2020

IBEW Local 76 is continuing to monitor and respond to the daily developments regarding COVID-19.  The health and safety of our communities and members and their families are our top priority.

Effective March 18, 2020, IBEW Local 76 is closing the office to in person contact. We will remain fully operational via phone, 253-475-1190, and email info@ibew76.org. Credit Card fees are being waived for phone payments and will be refunded for payments made online until the office is open to in person contact.

IBEW Local 76 has canceled all meetings through March 31st. This includes the Quarterly Residential Meeting and Olympia Unit Meeting which had been scheduled for tonight, March 18th. The Local 76 softball team’s upcoming season has been delayed a minimum of 1-month, approximate start of Wednesday, April 29th. We have also canceled all public meetings and closed all public meeting spaces in the IBEW Local 76 building until March 31st. During that time a deep cleaning will be completed on all public spaces.

In the event there are job shutdowns or mass layoffs, please contact the Local Union Office as soon as you receive notification. This includes being put on standby by the contractor. Being informed of changes from the many contractors and the numerous worksites, will allow us to assist you with your Out of Work list status for unemployment purposes.

As information on the Coronavirus that impacts IBEW members or IBEW Local 76’s Union Office is released, we will update our website, www.ibew76.org, first followed by emails from info@ibew76.org. Again, the health and safety of IBEW members and their families is a priority and we encourage everyone to follow the Washington State Department of Health personal hygiene guidelines. Please to take precautions by staying home from work if you have a cough, fever or feel ill, to wash your hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds frequently, coughing into a tissue or your elbow, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.

    In solidarity,

    IBEW Local 76
