IBEW Local 76 is currently putting plans and procedures in place that will address Washington State’s most recent COVID-19 Stay at Home order. We have been told that we will receive more explicit directions tomorrow afternoon regarding construction jobsites that are considered essential and jobsites that will be shutdown.
As of March 24, 2020, if you are placed on standby, please email info@ibew76.org. Include your contact information, contractor, jobsite, general contractor, date you were notified of standby status, and whether the jobsite is shutdown. If you are laid off, please email your termination slip to info@ibew76.org and then contact the union office at 253-475-1190 to be put on the out of work books.
We have also been informed that due to the volume of claims being submitted to Washington State Employment Security, claims may be rejected after the first submission. Please be patient with this process and try to submit the claim again.
As always, our top priority is the safety of our membership and their families. The Local 76 Rep and office staff are all working remotely and the office will remain fully operational.
