  • A Message from American Income Life Insurance Company
    Updated On: Apr 28, 2020

The purpose of this email is to update you on the steps that American Income Life have taken in the midst

    of this challenging time. â€‹

The well-being and safety of the members of all Union Members in North America is and always will be our top priority at American Income Life. We have dedicated teams that are diligently monitoring and responding to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak as it continues to develop daily. As are many, we are guided by updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization. With this in mind, we are taking every measure possible to make sure we have the most updated information so we can continue to maintain the health and safety of our staff, our representatives and customers.

Because of what’s occurring, not everyone wants an in-home visit which is understandable.

We have enhanced our member servicing to temporarily allow an AIL Representative to provide members with a virtual in-home presentation (via zoom or skype) should they choose to do so and feel safe at the same time.   During this time of uncertainty, we have seen an increase in requests for insurance and want to make certain members have the opportunity to provide protection for themselves and their family.

While this has not been an option in the past we are looking forward to a new and innovative way of servicing your members and want to make you aware of what we will be doing as we navigate through these next few weeks and perhaps months.

Secondly, for those members who have a policy with us and are laid off, AIL will pay the premiums for 3 months to ensure their policy remains in place.

I have attached the electronic Lay-off Waiver of Premium for you to provide to any member who calls in and is a policyholder who is unable to work because of what’s occurring. One of the requirements for the lay-off waiver is for the individual to be out of work for a minimum of 30 days and the Union or Employer must confirm that the policyholder has been out of work for 30-60 days.

We will continue to monitor the CDC recommendations and will adhere to those closely.  I personally want to thank you for your confidence in American Income by allowing us to provide services to your membership and if you or any of your members have any questions that I can help with, please feel free to contact me directly at  778-231-0226.

Since several of your members are policyholders of AIL,  I am also attaching a document for  Covid-19 FAQ's & Policies.

(Globe Life is the parent company of American Income Life.)

I will continue to keep you apprised.

    In Solidarity

    Fran Christie
